Curt A. Schreffler, P.E.
Curt is a 1987 graduate of Carnegie Mellon University (BS – Civil Engineering). He founded CAS Engineering in 1993 and oversees projects in Maryland, DC, and Virginia. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in all three of these jurisdictions. Curt lives in Frederick, Maryland with his wife Amy. Outside of work, Curt enjoys travel, cycling, good food, and craft beer.
David C. Landsman, P.E., Prof. L.S.
Dave is a 2008 graduate of the University of Maryland (BS – Civil Engineering) and 2013 graduate of Mount Saint Mary’s University (MBA – Finance). Dave started with CAS Engineering in 2003 as an intern and has been full-time since 2008. In 2014 he spearheaded our new office in DC and co-founded CAS ENGINEERING-DC, LLC. He manages the DC office day-to-day operations, engineering design, surveying, and permitting. Dave is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. He is a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor in Maryland, and the District of Columbia. He is also certified as a LEED Green Associate. Dave lives in Potomac, Maryland with his wife, two daughters, a son, and dog. He enjoys breweries, hiking, skiing, tennis, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
Martin S. Landsman, P.E.
Senior Project Manager
Marty is a 2014 graduate of the University of Maryland (BS – Civil Engineering). Marty started at CAS Engineering in 2008 as an intern and has been full-time since 2012. He is certified as a Professional Engineer in the District of Columbia. Marty currently lives in Washington, DC and outside of work he enjoys watching the Washington Nationals and Maryland Terrapins, cycling, traveling, and spending time with his friends and family.
Brent D. Allgood, P.E.
Senior Project Manager
Brent is a 2011 graduate of the University of Maryland (BS – Civil Engineering). Brent joined CAS Engineering in 2004 as an intern and has been on-board full-time since 2011. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Maryland. Brent lives in Sykesville, Maryland with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys hunting, fishing, kayaking, and spending time with his family.
David J. Ritchie, Prof. L.S.
Chief of Surveys
Dave began surveying as a teenager 40+ years ago and joined CAS Engineering-DC, LLC in 2017 after starting with CAS Engineering in 1999. He oversees survey projects in Maryland, DC, and Virginia and is a licensed Professional Land Surveyor in all three of these jurisdictions, as well as being one of 20 surveyors registered with the DC Surveyors Office. Dave lives in Frederick, Maryland with his wife and daughter. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, reading, and working around the house.
Phillip D. Long
Phil is a 2005 graduate of Loyola University of New Orleans (BA – History). Phil joined CAS Engineering in 2012 and coordinates permit processing in Maryland and DC. He lives in Brunswick, MD with his wife, two daughters, and son. Outside of work, Phil enjoys the art of slow cooking food on his smoker, canoeing, and fly fishing.
Patrick N. Kauffman
Pat is a 2007 graduate of the Frederick Community College (AS – General Studies). Pat joined CAS Engineering in 2002. He leads a field survey crew. Pat lives in Frederick, Maryland with his wife. He enjoys gardening, amateur photography, playing with his dog, and spending time with his wife.
Bradley D. Ralph
Brad is a 2002 graduate of the Pittsburgh Technical Institute (AS – Computer Aided Drafting). Brad joined CAS Engineering in 2008. He works as an instrument operator on a field survey crew. Brad lives in Martinsburg, West Virginia with his two bird dogs. He enjoys spending time kayaking, fishing, and upland bird hunting.
Darci D. Holston
Darci is a 1988 graduate of Towson University (Business Administration/Marketing). She joined CAS Engineering in 2002 and handles office administration, HR, and accounting. Darci lives in Woodbine, Maryland with her husband, two daughters, and three dogs. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, the beach, cooking, decorating, entertaining, movies, and reading.
